- Abstract
- The purpose of this project was to equip a selected group of deacons of the First Southern Baptist Church, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, in the concept of relationship-driven ministry. Research from an annotated bibliography provided the resources for development of lesson plans in order to equip the selected group. The equipping included sessions that both explored and defined the concept of relationship-driven ministry. Deacons selected were asked to participate in three sessions equaling seven hours. These sessions included study of both Old and New Testament passages of Scripture supporting the concept of relationship-driven ministry. A pre-test was administered in the beginning session and a post-test in the final session to help determine the level of the group's level of understanding of concepts of relationship-driven ministry.
