- Abstract
- This project sets forth in detail a method of preparing couples for marriage. Its basic thesis is that a minister possessing minimal counseling training can effectively prepare couples for marriage by adherence to its design. The theological grounding of the project is pastoral and process and it contains a critical examination of the role of the church in marriage. In addition, an extensive survey of other methods of preparing couples for marriage is presented. Based on questionnaires completed by ministers and couples who tested the project, its strong point is its treatment of communication.
