Abstract
  • The thesis was that Calvary Wesleyan Church has been unable to assimilate most of its new converts and new-comers into the mainstream of the church because of a certain mindset which was imposed upon its membership by some of its earlier pastors which emphasized external conformity more than the work of the spirit within. The method pursued to gather data for this study was personal interviews guided by a pre-tested, uniform questionnaire. The conclusion reached was that the above thesis is true. In addition, pastoral and district leadership were found to be very weak and inadequate.
