- The thesis includes the methods and procedures of pastoral care in the specialized and relatively new ministry in the expanding area of divorcing Roman Catholics. The work and research is based on seven years of grass roots designing, developing and applying of several divorce recovery programs. Included are two eight-week programs for small groups. One is designed to promote healing for the early stages of the divorce experience. The other has a values clarification thrust for later in the recovery process. The specialized ministry to separated and divorced persons is effective.
