- Abstract
- This project investigates the 'greenhouse model' for church planting developed and tested for many years by Maranatha Chapel (Evergreen Park, Ill). Finding its biblical basis in Acts 19, which tells how Paul's mission in Ephesus reached an entire province, the model suggests that a single local congregation, like a small botanical nursery, can develop a huge forest of churches. Christians, like seedlings, can be nurtured in one congregation and then be transplanted to a new site where they can put down roots and grow to maturity.
