- Abstract
- Using a practice-theory-practice method, this project explores the transformative potential of liturgy, constructing the meaning of the Lent-Easter season from liturgical documents, Introductory Notes in ritual books, and interviews with people of the Archdiocese of Saint John's, Newfoundland. The project relates these findings to Jack Mezirow's transformation theory in order to discern implications for a critically reflective approach to liturgy and catechesis for the assembly, its presiders, pastoral workers, pastoral councils, and parish liturgy committees.
