- Abstract
- The research of this dissertation focuses on how to properly shepherd the large number of new immigrants from China who have joined into Lord's churches in New York for the past years. The author examines the biblical foundation according to Matthew 29:19-20, and connects it with the Sermon on the Mount to find the way of shepherding them to become true disciples after their baptism. Based on the Sermon on the Mount, the author sets a strategy and writes a curriculum to teach new immigrants to observe the Lord's commandment and to fulfill the Great Commission. This material should meet the need of and help the growth of their Christian faith, become a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven and be the salt and the light of the world. The final goal is to establish them as a true disciple to participate in the ministry of the Great Commission.
