- A documenting of pastoral ministry among persons over the age of eighty indicates ways of strengthening such ministry. Spiritual needs as declared by the very elderly are examined and discussed. Material is drawn from pastoral involvement with two hundred-fifty parishioners all of whom are in the ninth and tenth decade of their pilgrimages. The research method was active listening and observing, then recording parishioiners' subjective spiritual concerns. Data was accumulated over ten years. Chapters include: the aged in canada; the problem of attitudes; concerning spiritual matters; words of assurance; ministering among the very elderly; and a large appendix and extensive bibliography.
