Abstract
  • The purpose of this project is to develop and implement a model of minstry to serve the LGBT community in downton Phoenix. The motivation for the project grew out of the realization that the Downtown Phoenix Church needed a framework to help them establish and build relationships with the growing gay community in the downtown area. Members from area churches participate in a six-week study designed to teach volunteers to engage people in spiritual conversation and to increase their level of compassion for the LGBT community in particular.
