- Abstract
- This thesis project begins from the premise that young children prompt spiritual questions within the adult and tests for a way in which the adult can participate in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, a Montessori-based method of catechesis. Using Groome's method of practical theology, 'Shared Christian Praxis,' the author conducted a case study in a Chicago parish, meeting with adults at a separate location while their children took part in the catechesis. The study concluded that the adult is affected by the child's spirituality and offers a pastoral strategy for increased adult participation.
