Abstract
  • The mentoring project was designed to create and conduct an equipping module for pastoral staff and lay leaders in a local church setting. The purpose of the project was to research available resources, to design and adapt methodology, and to evaluate the effectiveness of the project director's leadership. Drawing from numerous print resources, existing mentoring programs, and interviews with church and business leaders, the project director developed a process of planning, implementing, and evaluating a workable mentor-training instrument that can be replicated in other ministry venues. Tailored for Bradfordville First Baptist Church, the project trained ten men to assume mentoring relationships in the congregation.
