The context is Hope Church in Burstall, Saskatchewan. The objective was to design a philosophy of funeral ritual relevant to postmodern people using narrative and life-situational preaching. The project question: 'In order to help heal the heartache of bereavement, how does the minister provide the transformative power of positive preaching in 21st-century funeral and memorial rituals?'
