Abstract
  • There is a high unchurched population in Amarillo, Texas particularly among baby boomers. While theological belief is relatively high, active participation in churches is relatively low in this city (comparing national studies). The case study research method was utilized in this thesis to analyze the effectiveness of a non-denominational church planting (Christ's Church) in Amarillo, Texas to reach unchurched baby boomers. It was determined that the church planting reached many in this target group and that it is an effective means of assimilating the unchurched into the Body of Christ. Various theological, practical, and strategic perspectives were gained on the ministry of church planting.
