Abstract
  • This study asks: 'Is there a need for affordable health care in the nation's capital? If so, is it within the purview of the church to deliver or facilitate the availability and affordability of health care and coverage?' The study determined the viability of a clinic and the degree to which the church assists working people unable to afford health benefits and care. It is concluded that churches have a leadership role in meeting the needs of the least and last. The convergence of ministry, medicine and public health is in the best interest of the least and last.
