Abstract
  • This project report is a study book for ministers on the Moral Majority. Chapter 1 contains a historical sketch of the radical Right (including the Religious New Right) in American history. Chapter 2 is a summary of the theological and ideological tenets of the Moral Majority and a summary of its positions on selected social issues. Chapter 3 is a theological interpretation and critique of this organization from a Protestant perspective. Chapter 4 is an interpretation and critique of the group from a psychological perspective. Chapter 5 is a reflective essay on the significance of the Moral Majority for American churches.
