Abstract
  • This project proposes to change conservative policies and to awaken the social and political consciousness of the Pyungan Presbyterian churches in Korea by teaching and practicing Minjung theology, a historical expression of the historical experience of Korean Christians in the 1970s. Based on historical, cultural, and political understandings of Minjung, the project develops and tests a curriculum and lesson plans for seminars with Pyungan Presbyterian pastors, seeking to move Minjung beyond theory to praxis.
