Abstract
  • This project analyzes the current state of confessional practice among lay members of the Presbyterian Church (USA), setting it in the context of cultural, ecclesiastical, and theological movements. After reviewing the history and theology of confessions, the project offers an in-depth study of the attitudes toward and commitment to the church's confessions among nine church members of differing cultural, geographical, and experiential backgrounds.
