- Abstract
- This project is to explore and identify principles for ministry in diverse setting from a Wesleyan perspective. The research question is 'how can a congregation improve its ability to reach into the margins of the community?' The case study method was used to apply specific Wesleyan principles to a local congregation and evaluate their effectiveness for a congregation to minister in a community that is radically diverse. There are three issues to be explored in this study. First is to examine a congregation's process of reaching into a very diverse community. Second is to identify new methods and processes of reaching into a community that is rich in diversity. And third is to explore the applicability of historic Wesleyan practices, in ministering to those in the margins, to foster diversity in today's church.
