Abstract
  • This project identifies major areas of difficulty in marriages of pentecostal/charismatic clergy and their spouses through in-depth interviews and pre-interview questionnaires administered to 28 couples. The project noted similarities and differences among the generations represented, and addressed communication, finances, stress and burnout, church problems, time management, parenting, and conflict in the home. These findings informed a marriage-enrichment retreat for married Bible college students in which 34 individuals participated. Interview questions, retreat handouts, charts, evaluations, and a theology of Christian and clergy marriage are included.
