Abstract
  • This paper develops a model for church planting that provides a foundation for church ministry accomplishing two aspects of progressive sanctification. (1) A consistent, vertically-integrated ministry that recognizes the 'in Christ' relationship as sons/daughters of God and purposefully structures the church to foster that relationship in order to see life change (Christ-likeness). (2) The horizontal mutuality that exists between fellow believers in Christ and how that relationship fosters spiritual growth. Key passages from Matthew, Ephesians and Acts develop the ministry model; furthermore, both the forms (five) and structure necessary (six categories of personal ministry) to complement the process are discussed.
