Abstrakt

As the Church lives and proclaims the Gospel it finds itself today in a new context. The impact of generational differences and of postmodernism require new perspectives and strategies. Generational theory, especially that from William Strauss and Neil Howe, and postmodern thinking highlights this context's newness. The nature of the Church, as it is 'apostolic and catholic', is empasized in Jesus' call 'to go (=apostolic) into all the world (=catholic)'. Ministries to those born after 1960 are outlined as the ways that the Church might do ministry in a postmodern setting are suggested.
