Abstrakt

This work is an analytical and systemic study on the state of the family in the evangelical Christian church as a God-ordained institution for humans--but more principally for Christians. It emphasizes socio-cultural effects of no-fault divorces, family law, and judicial processes on families in Boston and proposes the implementation of family-structured church system and ministry as necessary to counter culture. The overall framework of this thesis reposes on Eldin Villafañe's 'hermeneutical circle of Chrisitan ethics.' This thesis challenges the church to undertake redemptive ministries that provide for the building, nurturing, and equipping of Christian families.
