- Abstract
- The idea of institutional codependency takes many of the defining characteristics of relational codependency and applies them to the relationship between an individual and an organized group of people. The analysis of institutional codependency on the relationship between a pastor and his church is the major focus of this project. The research into codependency and the results of five pastoral interviews will together provide foundational considerations to which Scripture will be applied to help pastors reclaim the core of their pastoral calling as they are alerted to the potential ravages of pastoral codependency.
