Abstract
  • This thesis addresses the tasks of preaching in a post-Christendom culture. Chapter one identifies the challenges of facing preaching today and suggests a paradigm modeled by the prophet Ezekiel. Chapter two provides an historical perspective of Christendom with a review of the relevant literature. Chapter three establishes this theological paradigm for preaching based on five units from the book of Ezekiel. Chapter four contains the outline of the seminar Standing in the gap: preaching in a post-Christendom culture. Chapter five is an evaluation of the seminar based on a questionnaire completed by participants assessing its effectiveness.
