Abstract
  • The purpose of this dissertation is to determine whether our Reformed covenant theology gives Christian parents any hope that God may bring their children back to Christ and His church. The researcher examined the literature dealing with the promises of the covenant to parents and their children. The researcher conducted interviews with Christian parents who have adult church-dropout children, and adults who had been church dropouts and returned to faith. The conclusion of the study determined that parents can positively influence their adult children with nine recommendations including continual communication, showing unconditional love, prayer, and involving the wider church body.
