Abstrait

This project offers an approach to non-traditional pastoral training for poor and under-equipped pastors serving the exploding church in Africa and elsewhere in, especially, the global south. The training strategy employed is a tiered series of 6 conferences, each with its own curriculum. Elements of the curriculum are intentionally repeated so that a cumulative pattern of learning is established through iteration of key concepts. Topics addressed: biblical and theological foundations for pastoral training, a brief history of the church in Africa, the current state of training among poor pastors and the theory and practice of pastoral training using the program.
