Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to examine the needs of and help formulate a support group based on the emotional and spiritual needs of people experiencing recently broken marital relationships. Research was conducted through a literature search. The results were presented in a form of a seven-session divorced/separated group seminar focusing on: grief and depression, loneliness, guilt and rejection, anger and bitterness, identity and self worth, sexuality, and future goals. The overall results suggest that this seminar may be beneficial to newly separated/divorced individuals who wish to work through their feelings of divorce from a reformed, evangelical perspective.
