- Abstract
- The professional project trained Shepherd Group Ministry leaders at Lexington Baptist Church in Corpus Christi, Texas. Project goals helped the project leader develop his leadership skills; helped the trainees grow spiritually and develop their discipleship skills; and helped the church accept and promote the Shepherd Group Ministry. The project was conducted in three stages: the enlistment of potential leaders, the training of the leaders, and the enlistment of leaders and assignment of participants to specific Shepherd Groups. Evaluation at the end of project revealed the effectiveness of the training in achieving skill improvement and perceived spiritual growth in the trainees.
