- Abstract
- The purpose of this project was to develop, implement and evaluate an Assertiveness Training (AT) for pastors of the Methodist Church of Puerto Rico. Randomization was used to form the experimental and the control groups from volunteer pastors. There was no significant difference found between the means of the groups in their answers to the Interpersonal Behavior Survey. The only exceptions were the Infrequency, the Initiating Assertiveness and the Requesting Help scales. All the goals of the AT were accomplished. Year-round Advanced AT and small support groups on assertiveness are suggested.
