Abstract
  • The purpose of this project is to recover church dropouts using listening skills and required research, writing, training labs, and contacting of church dropouts. A handcarved figurine of a shepherd with a sheep on his shoulders conveys the humility and strengths of the Great Shepherd. The olive woodcarving embodies this project by symbolizing the return of the lost sheep. The shoulders of the shepherd represent the achievement of the goal of discovery and equipping of a recovery team ultimately engaging in visitation of the church dropout. It portrays the joy known in heaven when one that is lost returns.
