- The project was a proposal for redirecting the focus of ministry in the candidate's inner-city 'exneighborhood' church. Instead of focusing upon futile efforts to re-capture a family structured church, the congregation were directed toward discovering opportunities for ministries to their own unique environment. Ministries were developed for older single apartment residents, single young adults, and a utilization of facilities for 3 separate ethnic congregations. The thesis describes how the church using the 'servanthood' model can renew its vigor and theological reality in a changing neighborhood. Contains strategies for renewal of leadership vision, and congregational empowerment.
