Abstract
  • The author established a training program for residence hall assistants through the means of a three hour credit course called Psychology for Residence Leadership. The class met through an entire academic year, once every two weeks, to learn, interact, and receive training on how to be the most effective residence hall assistant. The upper class students who participated in the program received three hours of general studies credit. This method of training residence hall assistants proved to be an effective tool used in the personal development of the students as well as in the implementation of a meaningful course in residence hall training.
