Abstract
  • This project proposes to enliven and sustain a conversation between God's Word and the People of God that often ends prematurely. By focusing on a process of listening, discerning, and proclaiming with members of a congregation as 'preaching partners,' the project presents a conversational paradigm of partnership that begins a homiletical renaissance. Church members participate in 'preaching partner' groups that meet for conversations before and after sermons, becoming essential partners in a never-ending, holy conversation that does not diminish the role of the preacher but enlarges the preaching ministry of the church.
