Abstract
  • This project is an account of the process in which a new pastorate was undertaken intentionally. The objective was to avoid allowing such a beginning to happen without design or plan, and to avoid imposing on the congregation the pastor's personal agenda, programs and plans without thoroughly consulting the contemporary and cultural context in which this new pastorate was to be initiated. In the process, the intention was to maximize on the move by trying to ensure that in this new pastorate there would be personal and professional growth, mutual trust in and ownership of programs, and the development of an effective ministry carried on with strategic church planning.
