Abstract
  • Presbyters' 'primary duty' is preaching the gospel to all. This project/dissertation is for MDiv students destined for (Hispanic) bilingual, bicultural assemblies. School, students, and underlying homiletic foundations are examined. Homilies are described as: biblical, liturgical, kerygmatic, and familiar conversation. Syllabus includes overall description, learning objectives, class session organization, and bibliographic references for required readings; also two full session outlines, lab procedures, critiques from practicing professors, suggestions for further study, and analysis of spirituality for preachers, described as hearing, becoming, and preaching the Word. Augustinian examples illustrate responsible homilies.
