- Abstract
- The purpose was for a small membership church, which has experienced remarkable growth, to equip other small membership churches to grow both spiritually and numerically through a weekend retreat. A biblical foundation for revitalization, the project's context, and a strategy for revitalization through the Fan the Flame Event were detailed. Descriptions of presentation covered Congregational Dynamics, Effective Preaching, Excellent Worship, Missional Outreach, Spiritual Formation, Practical Evangelism, and Healing and Wholeness, all in relation to the Small Membership Church. Follow-up and evaluation concluded that the spiritual awakening, ideas for practical application, and a sense of hope were experienced by participating churches.
