The purpose of this project was to research bivocational pastoral ministry to develop a manual to guide churches in the Morgan Baptist Association, Morgan County, Alabama, in the search for and selection of a bivocational pastor. The project director utilized the research model described in the current New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary Doctor of Ministry Handbook. The project director researched a wide range of sources to gain a foundational understanding of bivocational pastoral ministry in the Morgan Baptist Association in Morgan County, Alabama. The project director used the material discovered through the research to develop a manual that may be used by churches in their search for and selection of a bivocational pastor. The developed manual will serve as a training tool resource to guide churches that are served by bivocational pastors.
