- The purpose of this project is to enhance the awareness and the commitment of a select group of students in the Baptist Student Union at Pear River Community College toward Southern Baptist heritage and doctrines. The project took place over a period of five months between September 2010 and January 2011. The director of the Baptist Student Union at Pearl River Community College structured the project around personal interviews, teaching sessions, and a silent retreat. The student participants demonstrated enhanced awareness of Southern Baptist history, doctrine, church polity, and BSU campus ministry.
