Abstract
  • The author attempted to develop a thorough instruction course to train people in the basic teachings of the historic Christian faith as confessed by the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. The author studied other Wisconsin Synod adult instruction manuals, books in Christian doctrine and the Bible. He also drew on his experience as a teacher of the Christian faith to gather ideas for a course. He then wrote, field tested and extensively revised an adult instruction course. The study led to the completion of Welcome to Life!, a comprehensive, 15-lesson course in the main teachings of the Bible for adults.
