- The purpose of this project was to equip ministry leaders of Lake Buffum Baptist Church, Fort Meade, Florida, to utilize strategy planning skills in discipleship ministry development. Using the equipping program model, the project included the development of a workshop consisting of six sessions which addressed the following topics: understanding biblical strategic planning, the need for leaders to strategically plan a process to make disciples, discovering strategic planning, strategic planning, strategic planning as a team and strategy vision. In preparation, the project director researched the field of strategy planning, received tutoring in curriculum design, and organized the ministry leaders of the church to participate. Workshop participants demonstrated an increased understanding of strategy planning skills. Participants also indicated their intent to utilize strategy planning in developing discipleship ministry in their respective ministry responsibilities.
