  • This study examines the hypothesis that internal attitudes and expectations of church-seekers, rather than church assimilation strategies, determine whether seekers will become incorporated into the life and ministry of a local congregation. Prior work in this field has not taken into account the research that has been undertaken regarding employee commitment/satisfaction in the disciplines of organizational management. The hypothesis tested in this product seeks to confirm, in the context of the local church, such research. The results of a survey questionnaire infer that people tend to become incorporated/assimilated members of churches for reasons beyond the influence of the church.
