The purpose of the project was to equip selected parents at First Baptist Church of Atlanta, Texas, (FBC) with essential soul care skills. First, the project director researched soul care ministry and prepared an annotated bibliography and report on essential soul care skills. Second, to equip selected parents at FBC with essential soul care skills a curriculum was developed. Third, through seven sessions, selected parents at FBC were equipped to provide soul care for their children. Different methods of instruction were utilized in the equipping sessions including lectures, videos, game-based learning, peer-to-peer and small group activities, along with case studies. The participants were evaluated in the cognitive, psychomotor, and affective domains of learning. The participants assessed the project director’s instructional skills and provided knowledge to improve future sessions.
