- Abstract
- Developing an adult catechumenal program which centers around eschatology and does so with an emphasis on the 'in-breaking' of the Kingdom of God was the purpose of this practicum/project. Known as 'Walking in the Kingdom,' the practicum was divided into three phases: inquiry, catechumenal instruction, and mystagogia. Participants included those who sought baptism, and/or reaffirmation of faith, confirmation, or reception into the Episcopal Church. Recommendation was made that this model be strengthened so that catechumens would not only internalize, but also enact a connection between eschatology, the 'in-breaking' of the Kingdom of God, and daily living.
