Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to deepen the lives of ten to twenty college students through an intergenerational mentoring program. The project was intentionally designed for the growth of both the mentor and the student. The project utilized learner-centered mentoring to accomplish the project's purpose. In this mentoring paradigm the responsibility for the learning experience is shared as a means to deepen the spiritual lives of college students and utilize the influence of each mentor. The project was structured around training sessions, weekly meetings, and follow-up sessions. Participants demonstrated growth from the mentoring relationship, either as a mentor or a mentee.
