Abstract
  • This project was designed to address the need for training of home group leader coaches at Crossroads United Methodist Church in Oakdale, Pennsylvania, Eight training sessions were developed and taught to the coaches to help them encourage and equip the small group leaders they were assigned to supervise. This process was informed by theological, historical, and biblical materials. The training was evaluated through case study, the use of survey questions, and detailed observation. The coaches were found to have grown in their ability to fulfill their role effectively, and further refinements of the training process were identified.
