Abstract
  • This work argues for the urgent need for trained women in the conservative evangelical American churches today where often women are excluded from leadership teams. To that end, the project provides an example of a tested graduate level women's ministry course to train women leaders. The material was specifically designed for the master's degree in Christian education at Dallas Theological Seminary where the author teaches. Four evaluation tools over two semesters were implemented. The data was analyzed and used to recreate the course enhancing learning and providing a model for future studies that can be adapted to local church settings as well as academic classrooms. When women are given quality instruction and ample opportunity, the entire church will benefit for the glory of God.
