Abstract
  • The idea upon which I have based this dissertation is that prayer is the answer no matter what the question. Prayer is both traditional and transformational, not offending the staunchest traditionalist or the most starry-eyed transformationalist. It is perhaps the best natural construct for religious identity, understanding and development. From the viewpoint of change theology, all of these developments may be the manifestation of a natural process of aging. What would happen if instead of resisting these changes, we processed them as stepping stones to a new spiritual maturity? More importantly, would God be pleased and how would we know?
