Abstract
  • The goal of the thesis is to begin a change of attitude among the lay people of the Baptist Church Quintana so that the church can become an agent of unity and peace when facing the problem of racial and ethnic prejudice that emerges in its social context. The Christian Formation Program (CFP) was implemented. The emphasis was to make them aware about the life and mission of the church as it faces social situations. It also deals with the need to know and learn about racial prejudice, and the history and culture of foreigners, in this case the Dominican brothers and sisters. The evaluation shows the CFP was able to begin a change of attitudes in the participants, and promote an active and assertive participation of the church in the fulfillment of its mission as body of Christ, when facing the community social problems in its context.
