Abstract
  • This project utilizes small groups to encourage spiritual growth and care for one another as a strategy for ministry with young singles in the United States Air Force. Chaplains and laity received small group ministry training at the Air Force Singles Conference. Surveys conducted immediately before and after the training disclosed a positive shift in their attitude toward small groups as an effective means of providing spiritual care and stimulating spiritual growth. Four months after the training, additional surveys revealed twenty-six new small groups at twenty bases with 85% of the participants perceiving spiritual growth.
