Abstract
  • An on-going ministry to tourists and tourism proprietors can be developed and implemented through a local church. The project design consisted of a didactic seminar, the establishment of a tourism ministry committee, training and planning sessions, and the church's approval of the committee's recommendations. Experimental and descriptive research methodologies were used with seminar participants and tourism ministry committee members. Statistically significant growth was measured in seminar participants' understanding of the biblical concept of mission (p=5.19) and committee members' development of basic leadership skills (p=1.44). Extensive tourism ministry strategies were developed and implemented, proving the thesis.
